Have you tried this Vegan Smoothie with Indian Mangoes yet?
This Mango Almond Milk Vegan Smoothie is such a delicious option for breakfast or even for satiating your midday hunger pangs. I made this smoothie with Indian ‘Kesar’ mangoes, which, by the way, are absolutely juicy and sweet with little tartness that tickles your tongue and has a unique sweet smell which will impart your kitchen with its special fragrance if you have a box full of it lying around.
However, please note that these mangoes are only available during Indian summers and you may not always find these around so you can use any other type of seasonal mangoes of your choice to prepare this smoothie.
Can you use any other milk to make this smoothie?
Yes, absolutely, I have used almond milk in this concoction but you may easily replace almond milk with any other nut milk or regular dairy milk to make it according to your liking. Also, this is a simple no fuss, no muss recipe with 3 ingredients but if you wish to add additional ingredients to make it taste even better do share your recipe links in comments below. 🙂
I usually prefer having fresh smoothies but since this mango almond milk smoothie only consisted of three ingredients (two really, but my OCD wants to consider ‘ice’ as one of the ingredients :P), it remained fresh in my water bottle until lunch time (almost 5 hours after preparation).
Here is the method for how to prepare this refreshing smoothie. Hope you make one for yourself real soon!
- Diced Mango x 1
- 1 cup Almond milk or any other nut or dairy milk of your choice
- ½ cup ice
- Add Mango pieces, Almond milk and ice in to the blender. (Remember ice goes last on top of mango pieces so its weight can push the mango pieces towards the blade of the blender and help blend everything together better).
- Pour it into a glass and sip away.
- You can also pour this mixture into popsicle moulds and freeze it for 5-6 hours to have Mango Smoothie Popsicles.
