How to be creative and Be You.

“Take tradition and decorate it your own way.” –Carrie Bradshaw

What is worse than not being able to create anything is only creating what has already been created.

 If you are an artist and or a creative at heart, presumably, you would have already identified your style by now. The next step is to incorporate your own style in all your creative projects. Now, this can be slightly challenging since we are always overwhelmed with customary traditions year after year. It’s easy to follow the norm which is in no way a bad thing. However, this article is to motivate passionate creatives who wishes to elaborate on their style and make it a part of their lifestyle.

Don’t be afraid to add your own personality to everything that you create. Push yourself to think outside the box. Strengthen your signature style and you will surprise yourself when the creative juices within you start to flow.

Why not go all out and create something that represents you more like Pink Pumkin 🙂

How to be creative in a world of copes

You will certainly find inspiration from everything and everyone around you. Let that inspiration develop into something of your own. We all have different ways of expressing our creativity and you will be amazed at your skills and creative ideas when you just give it a go.

Be like a child when it comes to exploring your creative ideas and let your ideas run wild. You might not go with all of them but there will be few which will really spark your excitement to create something different, something that stands  for who you are and what you enjoy in life. Let it be your unique creation, take the old ways and create something new.

“Creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else has ever thought.” – Albert Einstein

What is more cuter than pink pumpkins with purls? Adding some of your favourite pieces together like we have done here pink and purls can be a starting point.

How to refine your wild ideas and create a polished version of your thoughts.

Now that will obviously depend on what you are trying to create. Is it a corner of your home you want to redecorate, is it a birthday card for a friend, is it a styled photo for your Instagram post, a cake for your loved one, unique nail art or a new painting. Whatever it is, here are a few pointers to get you started:-

1). Think of a colour palette;

2). Think of various textures/patterns/layout;

3). Think of elements where your inspiration derives from, create layers of these elements for visual appeal;

4). Lastly, add a touch of ‘you’

Work with the above and you will amaze yourself with what you can create which will be uniquely creative and uniquely you! There  is no right or wrong when it comes to art.The important thing to focus on is that if you wish to create a cultivated and polished version of your ideas. let your imagination run wild but capture the elements sparingly and not ‘literally’ in your final outcome. For a visually pleasing outcome, less is more.

Be Bold, Be You, Be Uniquely Creative

Be it any season or celebration think beyond what has already been done and the only way to achieve this is understand your own style, who you are and what you like. How to be creative in your way? Once you have established that, the possibilities of your creations will be endless. Whether it is personalised presents, cakes, cards, décor or even something as simple as a homemade hot chocolate (think of the colours, which you can achieve by making white hot chocolate, the flavours, toppings etc.) for you and your guests, you will ace it and always be Uniquely Creative!
